What I Know - Happy 2012

I know I said I would be taking a couple weeks off, but I just wanted to share a new year's greeting with you all. 2012 is shaping up to be a very interesting year for our community and country. We have community development planning to do in both north and south and, of course, much of it has to do with light rail edging ever closer. Just 2 years away!

I've been preparing myself by making sure my stomach is never empty. Locally, I have enjoyed meals at our newest restaurant, the Colossal Cafe...

What I Know 12-14-11

Spring is finally here - WAIT A MINUTE, 40 degrees and rain on December 14? We are officially changing our name to Portland. My daughter is coming home for the holidays from there and she's looking forward to the white stuff - sorry, honey, don't forget your umbrella.

Just came from my last STAR board meeting of the year. We were asked to rank 3 requests, two for security cameras for Como Park and Arlington Rec Center and one to assist in the new indoor, mostly privately funded, home for the B...

Shop Home for the Holidays has officially begun! The kick-off last Saturday went wonderfully, lots of shoppers around Como Ave to take advantage of the specials, local artisans, reindeer rides, Santa's ear and the lovely ambiance that is our mainstreet in north St.AP. I didn't get a chance to venture to the southern hemisphere of our neighborhood but heard that it was a good day in the University & Raymond shopping area.
