Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving break and the tryptophan has finally worn off. We are usually in town and the long weekend gives us time to relax and get things in order for the end of the year. At the Foundation, that means fundraising and it now is wrapped around Give to the Max Day due to the increasing popularity of this online giving opportunity. Thanksgiving is almost upon us, so I will share a few things I am thankful for - in the community - don't worry, I won't put the laundry list of personal thanks out there, it's too long. First and foremost, I'm thankful for the people who volunteer their time to make a difference in our community near and far. I am back! Had a wonderful time with the Murray 7th & 8th graders up at Wolfridge Environmental Center up in Finland, MN on the northshore. For those who don't know about the program, it's a leadership/team-building/cultural ed/environmental experience every Fall for around 70 Murray students. The students learn leadership skills working together on creative problem-solving, including how to make Murray a better school; they give presentations on the different cultures represented at the scho...

It's November folks, so now the official EYRT (End of the Year Rapid Transit) begins to gain some steam.

Don't forget this Thursday 5-7 pm is the Foundation's annual open house at Park Midway Bank on Como. Munchies, beverages, music and grantee updates are all on tap as well as a chance to schmooze with your neighbors. Please come, you'll have fun and be informed!
