June continues to be a killer for outdoor events, with last Thursday's first Park B4 Dark pretty much washed and blown out. Luckily, we have two more to come on July 17 and August 21, so put those on your calendar and make plans to enjoy the music & specials along Como Avenue.

What I Know 6-18-14

The Green Line launch has come and gone. By most accounts it was successful in spite of the typical weather for Saturdays in June this year: rain and wind. 45,000 people or so were reported to have ridden it on launch day, which is more than they estimate will ride it even during rush hour. There were some delays and lines to get on, but overall it performed as expected. This Saturday is Green Line Launch Day, a big day for St. Paul and a big day for St. Anthony Park. Light rail will be running through our neighborhood providing a new mass transit option for getting to downtown Mpls or St. Paul, the airport or MOA, the U of M, Target Center, Target Field, the new Vikings Stadium, the Excel Energy Center, the Saints new ballpark, the Farmer's Market, Union Depot & Amtrak & Greyhound & the World. First up, the Arts Festival! This Saturday, 10-5pm, don't miss it. There will be a lot of talent on display, food, activities and fun. Great chance to see your neighbors and get your entire list of high school & wedding presents all in one place. The library will have their book sale in the lower level.
