Since I'm sitting with them here at the 3rd Place, I have to make up for excluding mention of neighbors' Bruno Bornszstein and Alicia Lacy's Strib article from last week's blog.  They were featured in the March 15th edition for the DIY remodel of their house on Raymond Avenue. Last week I sent out an email to my blog list telling of the passing of Andy Boss and now his obit has been in the newspapers, so I don't need to add to those listings. As I reflected on his death this past week though - as well as the death of Don Baker, another neighbor who was a U climatologist prof responsible for most of our modern day state-wide system of weather reporting and much more - what strikes me is the commitment both men had towards community. I've been spending the last few weeks meeting with my board and committees around events we are planning to celebrate the Foundation's 15th anniversary. I have already mentioned the first event, our joint concerts with the Schubert Club/Music in the Park Series set for Mother's Day - Sunday, April 11. Along with the finally warming temps, two opportunities for change are in the air these days. 

Recently, the Transition Town Housing group has posted a draft ordinance on the D12 website concerning the zoning variance necessary to allow properties that have appropriate size and site considerations to add an Adjacent Dwelling Unit.
